We had a semi successful Valentine's day this year. It always makes it a little challenging to have Kale's birthday and that day all rolled together. We made the "wise" choice I do believe of putting off going out to dinner til next week. It gets so crazy in this little town on Valentine's day. All the different buffet's and restaurants have their specials and it is nutty. We passed a line of cars waiting to get into the Eureka. It was two blocks long.
The boys were excited though to give Kale his presents that they picked out. He received shorts from them. In their varying ranges of choice colors, maroon and black from Ender, black and blue from Judge, and gold and black from Raiden (to which Kale said gooooo Emery!). And finally against my better judgement a computer game from me. It was the only thing he wanted...so he got it...
The boys loved their Valentine gifts (yes we do gifts instead of candy) of a jump rope for Raiden, and giant bubble wand for Judge, and a car for Ender. Ender also adopted/took ownership of the gift Kale gave me. It is a giant Valentine caterpillar. Ender loves, loves, loves giant stuffed animals of all sorts and he has proudly commandeered my recent acquisition.
So Happy 33rd to you Kale, and Happy Valentine's Day to the rest of us!...

Thankful for..

Well I am certainly thankful for my three boys. Ender is getting to be such a BOY. He isn't a toddler at all. He wants to do what big boys do and you just can't tell him differently. Judge is precious. He loves playing with his soccer team. Yesterday he scored 5 goals for his team. They won 5 to 1. He is such an aggressive little slugger. Raiden just melts my heart at times. He is reading books with REAL sentences he says. Not just simple words. It makes me realize that he is growing up so fast. To think six years ago he was just a baby in my arms...

Changes
Well it is the season for change isn't it?
My littlest brother is on a mission in Mexico. My oldest boy is a first grader. My middle child is deciding "Play School" isn't such a bad thing. My baby isn't a baby and thinks stairs are just nifty! We are unpacking and trying to make a home out of our new town house. Kale is learning what it is like to be home more often ALONE with the children. I am working a twenty-four hour a week job.
So yes, change is pretty prevalent in our lives right now. It is amazing how you can cruise along not aware of how you have become comfortable with your life no mater how crazy or hectic it can be, and then through change you see what you had...sometimes it is a bad thing...hopefully not often, and others...you feel so blessed to be able to move out of that spot in your life.
We aren't settled yet, but I am already seeing this place as a better thing. It would really be hard for it not to be compared to the old place. The space is wonderful, and as soon as we get everything put away we will really start to enjoy it.
Hopefully with this change I will be able to remain in contact with everyone better. So talk to you all soon!

Act of Congress
Yes! They did it! They sent me a mandate to actually write on my blog. Okay, not really. It is just easier to write on the family blogs, and forget about the personal one...
Let's see catch up time.
School is out for the summer, sorta yippee! The boys love being with each other, but they love to fight and what not too so it can make for a long day.
Ender is walking like a pro and climbing like one too. I think one day we might have a jumper on our hands...he also has eight teeth.
Our family reunion is coming up next weekend. We are so excited. When it hits the 100 degree mark down here we are always ready to vacate the area. It ought to be interesting. We haven't gone camping with Ender since he was a new little guy so lets see how this one works out.
